BarnDoor Productions has been presenting live theatre in Perth, Ontario since 1995. But their passionate roots extend even deeper into the past with their previous production house, Perth Summer Theatre, that began in 1983.
It is safe to say that theatre has become their way of life with their various productions over the years. From outdoor classics to modern hits, from favourite "chestnuts" to original shows, BDP has set the region's community theatre standards.
Since their first production they have built a reputation for high-energy, fast-paced, theatre that constantly surprises and always excites.
Producing Directors David and Janice Jacklin are now in their 41st year of presenting theatre together. In 2012, the Jacklin duo were honoured with the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for service to the community and the performing arts.
